Job Description

Operations Trainee - Investment Compliance (12 months)

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and surveillance of investment guidelines including setting up/maintaining of rules and watch lists in the Bloomberg AIM and Compliance checklists

• Reviewing and coding of investment guidelines for new and/or existing mandates

• Pre and post trade monitoring of investment guidelines and following up on breaches identified

• Scheduled reporting to clients and trustee

• Audit preparation and Compliance manual checks controls

• Preparing presentations/training deck and liaising with internal stakeholders such as Fund Managers

Requirements:

• Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in 2019/2020

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Meticulous individual

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Fast learner who is self-motivated and an excellent team player with a “can do” attitude

Technical Skills and Competencies the trainee will learn:

• Sound knowledge of the asset management industry

• Learn on-the-job and understand the different financial instruments including fixed income, equities, FX and derivatives

• Understand and appreciate the various Compliance Regulations such as Collective Investment Scheme, Securities and Futures Act, CPF Investment Guidelines etc
