The Job

As a Data Analyst (Python), you'd be responsible for:

• Providing solutions by developing scripts (python or equivalent) to automate current manual processes issues faced by business users
• Being instrumental in the problem decomposition and objective supported with data analysis, leading to design, develop and deploy solutions
• Working closely with multiple stakeholders such as the business subject matter experts, technology partners, and product owner to understand problems, document, and formulate the logic and codes used for scripts.
• Backing test on accuracy of the logic with clear test scenarios and using historical, including the necessary data extraction and transformation.
• Ensuring documentation and traceability of requirements and, process flow diagrams, and other project documents.
• Involving in providing ad hoc analysis, insights, and building and maintaining data-driven MIS, reporting, and machine learning solutions, as well as visualizations.

The Profile

• You are strong grounding in scripting/coding skills using Python or equivalent is a must
• You are practical and demonstrable exposure and skills in using Visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik
• You have knowledge of SQL and data modeling is preferred.
• You have experienced working in Unix and Linux environments would be preferred
• You have basic proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, and working with large-scale datasets.
• You have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, and VBA preferred
• You possess a university degree or higher in Computing, data mining, or related quantitative discipline.
• You have a 2 years relevant working experience
• You are excellent at communications skills, able to engage stakeholders across levels. Proven ability in developing reusable codes, business analysis and problem-solving
• You have experience in bank operations in Treasury preferred but not compulsory.
