We started as a printed circuit board manufacturer in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose, in 1972. As demand for high-technology exploded, we added LCD and electronics contract manufacturing to our range of services.
We are one of the pioneer companies to identify Batam, Indonesia as a cost-efficient location. Our Batam factory was set up in 1990 and continues to operate today.
In 1994, we went public and became listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
In 2000, we divested our PCB and LCD manufacturing arms to fully focus on electronics contract manufacturing. We also foresaw the emergence of China as the world’s factory and started our Shanghai factory in 2000.
Today, we are growing beyond providing just manufacturing services; we have design solutions which can be used to our clients’ advantage.
- Our Official working hour is Monday to Friday (08:30am to 05:30pm) with 1 hour Lunch break (12:00noon to 01:00pm).
- Shuttle bus provided to and fro Boonlay and Jurong East MRT daily
- Intern will be trained to use the SAP systems
During your internship, you will be attach to a Business Unit and your jobscopes are as follows:
- To improve business and communication skills working with global Fortune 500 customers
- Support the Business Unit Manager along with their Account Managers and Program Managers
- To improve customer satisfaction, ensure successful order fulfillment and review supply chain risk
- The successful intern will be able to learn the fundamentals of management
- *important* Intern would have the opportunity to travel to Batam to our production plant for site visits. (will be accompanied by colleagues)
Skills preferred, not compulsory:
- Proficiency with Excel Vlookup and Pivot table
- SAP systems
- Students currently pursuing business related diplomas/ degrees
