Job Description

Event Operations Intern

The role of the Event Operations Intern is to work with a team of full-timers, part-timers and volunteers to plan and execute events successfully with zero hiccups, zero casualties and 100% satisfaction from clients and participants. He/she will work with the team and learn to  manage his/her own time and budget based on the number of events on hand and will communicate effectively to the other departments working together (namely accounts, logistics, design and marketing). He/she will learn about KPIs which include anticipating all blind spots and problems that might possibly happen, safety and risk management, timeliness of delivery and execution, and satisfaction of clients and participants.

This position reports directly to the Event Operations Manager. The company’s expansion into other countries will give this individual the opportunity to travel if he/she proves him/herself capable enough to handle the foreign markets.

Responsibilities

Work well with a team of full-timers, part-timers and volunteers on pre-event, during and post-event operations.

Work with the team to plan and execute pre-event brand activation as well as event day operations according to schedule.

Follow SOPs for events and team.

Learn to report daily/weekly on progress of event preparations.

Manage up to 10 events (big and small) concurrently.

Work seamlessly with other departments.

Learn to manage and engage in cost-cutting methods as and when necessary.

Requirements

GCE ‘O’ levels and above.

Motivated and resourceful individual.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think on his/her feet to make difficult decisions on-the-spot.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and team player.
