Job Description

Function/Department(s): Vehicle Sales and Marketing  / Sales Strategy & Support 

Reports To: Senior Segment & Business Intelligence Analyst 

Purpose of the Job:

The Trainee will learn about the values and working culture of the Volvo Group.

He / she will also gain an understanding of the truck industry and its competitive landscape

He / she will assist in streamlining processes and reports to strengthen analysis and insights of UD Trucks business in emerging markets

He / she will contribute towards improving communication related to business intelligence and business performance

Tasks and Responsibilities:

To study and analyse sales and market data, and build insights to improve UD Trucks performance in the market.

To study the competitor’s offerings (vehicle and aftermarket), evaluate and recommend opportunities to enhance UD Trucks competitiveness.

To prepare periodical business intelligence reports and sales dashboards.

To synthesise various internal reports and provide insights on market performance

Support structure and development of templates, teamplace and process.

Requirements:

  • Interest and curiosity to explore the automotive industry, emerging market and international economics
  • An analytical mind capable of simplifying complex information and identifying patterns.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and willingness develop new ways to explain, explore and visualize data.
  • Interest in sales and marketing operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, specifically Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English. .

Education:

  • Undergraduates pursuing Bachelor Degree in Business, Strategy, Economics or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of market research and data analytics is preferred

Internship can be on a full time or part time basis.

Candidates who can work from end Apr – August 2019 are preferred.
