Faculty Digital – Solutions Engineer

About the role You'll work directly with our Director to help build and ship client-facing digital solutions. This is a hands-on role: you'll write real code that goes into real projects, while also getting exposure to how projects are scoped, researched, and delivered. It suits someone who wants to grow beyond pure coding into the engineering-plus-delivery space.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain frontend features (and ideally backend/API work) for client projects
• Support the Director on project coordination: tracking tasks, timelines, and documentation
• Help research new tools, frameworks, and technical approaches, and summarize findings clearly
• Test, debug, and document your work to a standard others can pick up

Required

• Solid frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one modern framework (React, Vue, or similar)
• Genuinely organized and detail-oriented — you track your own work and don't drop threads
• Clear written communication; you can explain what you did and why
• Eagerness to learn and take feedback

Nice to have

• Backend experience (Node, Python, or similar) and basic API/database familiarity
• Git and version-control workflow
• Any prior project, internship, or portfolio work — personal projects count
