Job Description

EDF Lab Singapore is looking for a talent to work with our cross-disciplinary research team to apply different technics to energy management topics. This role will provide you a unique opportunity to work on projects involving energy markets (consisting of electricity market research, renewable energy) and energy finance (risk management, asset valuation, etc).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Energy Market: To conduct study on the power market that is related to renewable energy power assets, including identifying target market, market trend, research of market regulations, competitor analysis, etc.
  • Energy Finance: To conduct the survey in regional markets to research on the financial risk hedging strategies. To achieve this task, you will be able to (1). Be familiar with the risk hedging strategy. (2). Understand the function of risk management tools. (3) Understand the different risk hedging commonly strategies adopted in the market.
  • Liaise with the industrial partners to develop research topics related to the power market in Singapore.
  • Support the business development activities for risk management tools and energy management tools
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or other related discipline.
  • Passionate about renewable energy industry, energy transition, energy finance and power market.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Eligible to work in Singapore.
  • Able to commit at least 6 months (full-time) or 10 months (part-time), and start immediately
