Founded in 1987, SGIFF is the largest and longest-running film event in Singapore. It has become an iconic event in the local arts calendar that is widely attended by international film critics, and known for its dynamic programming and focus on groundbreaking Asian cinema for Singapore and the region. Committed to nurturing and championing local and regional talent, its competition component, the Silver Screen Awards, brings together emerging filmmakers from Asia and Southeast Asia while paying tribute to acclaimed cinema legends. With its mentorship programmes, masterclasses and dialogues with attending filmmakers, the Festival also serves as a catalyst for igniting public interest, artistic dialogue, and cultural exchanges in the art of filmmaking. The SGIFF is organised by the Singapore International Film Festival Ltd, a non-profit organisation with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status.

About This Role
Love people, the arts, and making a difference? The Donor Relations Internship offers hands-on experience in donor relations and nonprofit fundraising, and offers a glimpse behind the scenes into an arts charity and how it operates.
As our Donor Relations Intern, you'll be part of the Business Development team, helping us look after the community of supporters who make the Singapore International Film Festival possible. From sending a warm thank-you note to welcoming a major donor at a VIP reception, you'll learn what genuine relationship-building looks like in the arts and culture space — and why it matters.
This is a people-first role. While we value candidates with previous work experience in donor relations or nonprofit fundraising, we also welcome candidates with diverse work experience who care about making people feel valued in a creative, purpose-driven environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Donor Communications & Benefit Fulfilment
Help plan and send donor emails — from festival updates to fundraising appeals — making sure the tone feels right for different supporters
Respond to incoming donor enquiries during our peak donations period, and liaise with the Donor Management System team to troubleshoot issues with the guidance of the team
Draft thank-you letters and updates that connect donors to the real-world impact of their giving
Assist in preparing and distributing donor passes, invitations, goodie bags, and merchandise
Keep track of what's been sent, collected, and confirmed across donor tiers
Handle all donor information with care and in line with our data protection guidelines
Events & Hospitality
Be a warm, professional point of contact at donor receptions, VIP screenings and exclusive events, representing SGIFF with care and discretion
Help with guest management, reserved seating and on-site logistics
Post-Festival
Help gather donor feedback and document key observations to inform future planning
Contribute to end-of-cycle reporting for the team
What We're Looking For
Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma in Arts Management, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
Strong written and spoken English; other languages are a bonus
Comfortable with Google Suite or Microsoft Office; experience with any CRM is a plus but not required
Organised and reliable — you follow through, meet deadlines, and flag issues early
At ease interacting with a wide range of people, from first-time donors to senior patrons
A genuine interest in the arts, culture, or the nonprofit sector
Period of Engagement: 1 July – 30 November 2026
Working Arrangements: Hybrid (office + WFH). During festival period and events, more on-site presence will be required.
Send your CV, a photo, two references, and a link to your portfolio or past work samples ( if applicable) to by 5 June 2026. We review applications on a rolling basis, so earlier is better!
In line with Singapore’s hiring guidelines, preference will be given to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds who meet this requirement.
