Established in 1982, Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn Bhd (Formerly known as Wei Dat Wiremesh Netting Sdn Bhd) Ipoh, Perak in Peninsular Malaysia with more than 40 years of steel wire and wire mesh manufacturing experience.


We manufacture and distribute galvanized steel wire, steel wire mesh for concrete reinforcement, galvanized welded mesh, low carbon & high carbon hard-drawn wire, PC wire and strand, steel bar, chain link fencing and barbed wires etc. The bulk of these products are used in the construction, manufacturing, mining, geotechnical engineering, housing, agriculture industries etc. The introduction of our very own brand Innogal™ Steel Wire.


From a small factory in a light industrial area, we expanded to a 5-acre factory and we are currently operating at two state-of-the-art plants with cutting edge technology in a land size of 17 acres.  There are 300 employees as well as technically sound engineers and supervisors who are responsible in our operations round the clock.  We are an operation that never sleeps.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist Country Manager in managing all sales and marketing functions in the designated markets Promoting the company’s existing brands and introducing new products to the market.
  2. Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company’s marketing goals.
  3. Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
  4. Maintaining relationships with important clients by regular visit, understanding their needs and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
  5. Obtain and analyse competitive environment in designated markets
  6. Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences and workshop, reading, publications and maintaining personal and professional network.
  7. Market development for existing and new markets
  8. To coordinate Customer Complaint process
  9. Manage credit and collection effectively

Job Requirements 

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Marketing, Business Studies/Administration or equivalent.
  2. At least 3 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  3. Preferable candidate from similar industry or hardware.
  4. Strong analytical, organizational and creative thinking.
  5. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results.
  6. Good Commercial knowledge with outstanding negotiation, presentation, communication and interpersonal skill.
  7. Passion in sales.
  8. Willing to travel around the country and oversea.
  9. Candidates who possessed their own transport will be an added advantage for this role
  10. Candidate need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterparts for this role.
