Job Description

About the Role

As a Global Social Media Intern, you will support the day-to-day management of our global social media presence, online communities, and creator partnerships. Working closely with the marketing, creative, and content teams, you will help develop engaging content, execute campaigns, monitor performance, and contribute ideas that strengthen brand awareness and audience engagement.

This internship offers hands-on experience across the full social media lifecycle—from content planning and creation to community management, reporting, and campaign execution—within a collaborative global marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management

  • Support the planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing of content across global social media platforms.

  • Brainstorm and develop engaging, platform-native content ideas that increase organic reach, audience engagement, and brand awareness.

  • Identify and leverage trending topics, cultural moments, and emerging social media trends to create timely and relevant content.

  • Contribute ideas for new social-first campaigns and initiatives that strengthen brand storytelling.

  • Support influencer, creator, and brand collaboration activities.

  • Coordinate with creative and content teams to produce compelling social media assets.

  • Maintain content calendars and assist with cross-functional requests related to social media campaigns.

2. Market Research & Competitive Insights

  • Conduct research on social media trends, audience behaviours, and emerging digital marketing opportunities.

  • Monitor competitor and industry activities to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement.

  • Share insights and recommendations to enhance content strategy and audience engagement.

3. Social Media Account Management

  • Review and maintain social media accounts across different regions to ensure consistency with brand guidelines.

  • Support initiatives to optimise, organise, or consolidate social media accounts where appropriate.

  • Assist in implementing strategies to grow organic audiences and improve engagement.

4. Reporting & Community Management

  • Track and compile social media performance metrics and prepare regular reports.

  • Monitor comments, messages, and community interactions, escalating or responding where appropriate.

  • Provide administrative support for social media operations and campaign execution.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using social media management or scheduling tools.

  • Basic design or video editing skills using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or similar software.

  • Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.

  • Interest in AI tools and emerging digital marketing trends.

  • Previous experience managing social media accounts, either professionally, academically, or through personal projects.
