Job Description

OBJECTIVE /

Invoke emotion! You’re a natural story-teller. You’ve got the writing chops of a skilled copywriter, you’ve got an eye for design, and you can sell just about anything with a persuasive essay that makes your friends and your customers light up. Now you own the entire function where you get to flex and express yourself how to establish and launch hands-on from ground up focusing on 3 areas: (1) Copywriting & Market Intelligence (2) Digital Marketing Engagement (3) Marketing Communications.  This role is actually pretty exciting as there is no ‘baggage’ and more so the market is still in its infancy so it is very important that you focus on building the brand awareness, audience competency and revenue generating opportunities.  The 2018 goal is to activate and make Variantz the talking point through consistent themes, messaging, digital marketing content, thought leadership, and generating word-of-mouth ‘campaigns’ (It’s Asia, Word-of-Mouth virality strikes best both online and offline). SKILLS & EXPERIENCES (HANDS-ON):

•             Create resources each week to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, templates, etc.).
•             Blog on an ongoing basis to support and promote your offers and to attract site visitors through search, social media, and email subscribers.
•             Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of our audiences.
•             Define, Craft cross-pollinating campaigns and execute customer acquisition strategy that drives conversion, followed by content calendars and syndication schedules
•             Familiarity and experience with SEO/content optimization, content marketing, social media, email drip campaigns, press, inbound/outbound, etc for response and search leveraging on Google Analytics, funnel optimization, Keyword Planner, A/B Testing on everything from subject lines to call to actions, and make intelligent decisions against the results
•             Build multi-channel lifecycle campaigns across email and social media, including: partner/client on-boarding, lead nurturing, retention and recapture, and brand building.

•             Research, curate, post engaging and optimize producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) for media coverage
•             Copywriting frequent changes on website, esp. related to features, products, new announcements, etc.
•             Develop strategic partnerships with social media influencers to increase brand awareness and drive web traffic
•             Moderate external messages and customer feedback appropriately, assist with responding to bad reviews, and negative news communications


HIGHLY PREFERRED:
•             B2B, B2C, and Technology experience especially in the area of Smart-Connected IoT
•             Startup and/or agency experience working with digital publishers, advertisers, and building audiences either online or offline
•             A quirky sense of humor
•             Killer copywriting skills – you must have a strong voice!
•             The ability to seamlessly shift your tone from quirky-yet-helpful for consumer-focused content to engaging, yet informative for B2B copy
•             Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
•             Demonstrably up-to-date knowledge of digital media and a habit of staying current.
•             Strong design taste, maintain consistent brand image across landing pages, ads, and other channels. Adobe Creative Suite/Sketch/Canvas.


REMUNERATION:

Internship @ SGD 800 ~ 1,000 per month NETT (+ Discretionary Achievement Bonus); 

Experienced Freelance/Part-Time @ Negotiable SGD 800 ~ 1,600 per month NETT (+ Discretionary Achievement Bonus)
