Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sickfamiliespersons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

Job Description

Coordinator (Strategy & Innovation) - Contract (2 Months)


Coordinate matters for Integrated Geriatric Care Model (IGCM) Client Survey (of 254 clients):

  • Ensuring that the IGCM Client Survey runs smoothly, providing interim reports of the survey results to Division Directors involved in IGCM
    • Packing goodie bags for clients and volunteers (Token of Appreciation)
    • Coordinating volunteers who are helping to conduct surveys
    • Administer client interviews
    • Match volunteers to clients
    • Attend IGCM operations meeting and writing meeting minutes

Organise High Tea event:

  • With the goal of mobilising and appreciating volunteers, interacting with clients and getting their feedback for client outcomes, and a chance for IGCM colleagues to share with clients on the services they provide
  • Event coordination and other admin matters 
    • Operations plan and Admin programme
    • Organise and setup catering
    • Invitations – to colleagues and clients
    • Collating RSVPs – attendance list, dietary requirements, etc.
    • Plan high tea activities and games
    • Plan manpower allocation
    • Collect and report on post-event feedback

Qualifications

  • Degree with some work experience
  • Proficient in speaking Mother Tongue (Malay and dialects preferred) as clients are only able to converse in their mother tongue 
  • Have a heart for the elderly (our clients)
  • Friendly with good communication skills
