Company Profile

Ivy Institute is an award winning US admissions consultancy that helps students gain admission to top universities in the United States. The firm is known for its evidence based approach to candidacy building, its network of former admissions directors and experienced coaches, and its focus on outcomes rather than generic advice. Ivy Institute works with high school students, transfer applicants, and graduate candidates who are applying to selective colleges and universities. The team supports families across Asia, Europe, and North America, and it has built a reputation for clear strategy, detailed essay development, and rigorous interview preparation. Because the firm is growing, it now engages a pool of freelance admissions consultants to support client work on a flexible basis.

Job Description

We are looking for freelance admissions consultants to join Ivy Institute on a project basis. The role is focused on candidacy building and application review. Consultants will work directly with students to assess academic and extracurricular profiles, build a target school list, develop a coherent application strategy, and review essays, activities, and interview responses to a director level standard. You will be expected to give specific, actionable feedback, manage a small caseload of students, and communicate professionally with families. This is a remote role and you will set your own hours within client timelines and application deadlines. Previous experience as an admissions officer, admissions director, or as a professional admissions consultant is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable working with ambitious students, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of discretion and quality.

As part of our review and assessment process, all applicants will be asked to complete two demo calls with potential clients. The purpose of these calls is to assess your ability to diagnose a student profile quickly, explain a clear strategy, and demonstrate the quality of feedback and communication that Ivy Institute expects. Performance in the demo calls will be a key part of the selection decision. If this sounds like a fit, please share your background in admissions, your availability for the upcoming cycle, and your approach to candidacy building.
