Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) is Singapore’s national association for company directors. Formed in 1998, its mission is to uplift the directorship profession and champion good governance. Its membership comprises board directors, company leaders, and professionals with an interest in corporate governance. A Governing Council guides the direction and work of the organisation, and SID Committees comprise industry professionals, academics and corporate governance experts.

The SID Academy is our centre of excellence for bespoke corporate training, whole-of-board services and training for board adjacent professionals. The SID Academy aims to provide boards and senior leaders with best-in-class training, services and resources to navigate the complexities of the modern boardroom.

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and polished Senior Executive, Board Programmes to join the SID Academy. This is a crucial role designed to support our Academy in expanding our reach and impact within the corporate sector. Your primary mission is to support the operations of SID Academy's programmes in Singapore and regionally.

 Programme Support, Development and Management

  • Support the team throughout the entire contracting cycle, from initial meeting preparation, proposal submission to contract closing.
  • Develop customised compelling proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials that clearly articulate the value of SID Academy's offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty to ensure customised training solutions align perfectly with client needs.
  • Manage and coordinate programme delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance against established metrics, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to ensure success.
  • Stay up-to-date on board and directorship trends and best practices, recommending adjustments to programme development strategies as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with faculty and knowledge partners to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of programmes.
  • Track and deliver presentations/reports on key programme metrices, programme updates and achievements with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Business Development:

  • Manage inbound inquiries and conduct targeted outbound outreach to prospective clients.
  • Meticulously maintain client data, relationships and track revenue activities.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and the evolving needs of corporate boards.

3. Secretariat Duties

  • Provide secretariat duties to SID Committees and/or Chapters including supporting the agenda and activities of the Committee and/or Chapter.

Requirements 

  •  A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ideally 1-3 years of experience in the areas of programme operations and account management. Motivated fresh graduates will be considered.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of executive presence.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Other Requirements:
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of corporate governance, business ethics, or directorship.
  • Experience working within a professional membership body, non-profit, or academic institution.
