Institute of Mental Health – Human Resource Intern

The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is an acute tertiary psychiatric hospital with 1950 beds. We offer a comprehensive range of psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

 We believe in providing holistic integrative mental healthcare. Our modern facilities complement evidence-based multidisciplinary practices ranging from clinical psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, to medical social work.

 As Singapore’s only tertiary psychiatric care institution, we nurture the next generation of mental healthcare practitioners through the NHG-AHPL Residency Programme, and collaborate with the local tertiary institutions, continuing our tradition of care since 1928.

You’ll work alongside our HR team on real projects, interact with different stakeholders, and gain exposure to initiatives that shape the employee experience at IMH.

Bring HR initiatives to life 

Support the planning and implementation of HR programmes, employee engagement activities and people initiatives. 

Work on real HR projects 

Contribute ideas, conduct research, analyse information and help develop recommendations or materials for ongoing HR projects. 

Get exposure to different areas of HR 

Learn how different aspects of HR come together, from talent and employee engagement to learning, workforce initiatives and HR operations. 

Turn data into insights Help organise and analyse HR data, identify useful trends and present information in a way that supports decision-making. 

Create a better employee experience 

Put on your employee hat and help us think about how HR communications, processes and initiatives can be clearer, simpler and more engaging. 

Partner with our HR team

 Participate in discussions and work with HR colleagues and stakeholders to understand how people considerations translate into practical solutions. 

Who we’re looking for 

You don’t need to be an HR expert. We’re looking for someone who is: Curious and keen to learn Comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas Resourceful and willing to take initiative Organised and able to follow through on tasks Confident working with people and as part of a team Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel Interested in HR, people, healthcare or organisational development
