H2 Games Pte Ltd – Backend Engineer

We are seeking an Entry-Level Back-end Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of back-end systems that power our business operations and mobile game platforms. You will work closely with experienced engineers to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance internal systems while growing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining internal systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration between back-end systems, front-end platforms, and databases.
• Help monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of back-end systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support smooth day-to-day system operations.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system designs, implementations, and configurations.
• Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, coding standards, and system architecture.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience in software development, or internships in a related role. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic programming knowledge in one or more languages such as Java, Golang, Python, or PHP. Experience with Java or Golang is an advantage.
• Familiarity with common Internet technologies such as Linux, MySQL, caching technologies, APIs, and basic microservices concepts is a plus.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals, including clean code practices, version control, and debugging.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese to communicate with cross-functional teams, including Chinese-speaking counterparts.
• Exposure to front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, React, or Vue.js is a plus.
