Job Description

Overview of Internship Scope:

Great talents are needed for startups to grow. The People team designs and implements strategies targeted at addressing talent challenges tech startups face. We have a range of engagement activities which we drive, to build meaningful connections with these individuals, they can be intellectually stimulating, inspiring and most of all, fun to be at. Our work involves a lot of creativity, thoroughness and perseverance as we have a myriad of activity going on daily - from pipeline-building strategies to leadership capability development programmes.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the day-to-day operations of our Deep Tech Leadership Programme team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem development within Singapore's vibrant deep tech landscape. The intern will work closely with the Senior Manager and Deputy Director, assisting with key preparatory tasks and contributing to laying the groundwork for the programme's successful launch. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to learn and contribute to a high-impact initiative from its inception.

Responsibilities:

Programme Content & Design Support:

  • Assist in researching and compiling best practices for executive development and on-the-job training programs.
  • Contribute to drafting initial module outlines and session objectives for the programme.
  • Support in identifying and shortlisting potential learning partners, coaches, and mentors based on expertise and availability.
  • Help organize and prepare materials for internal programme design workshops and content review sessions.

Initial Stakeholder Engagement Assistance:

  • Assist in compiling lists of target ecosystem stakeholders such as VCs, accelerators, corporate partners, and government agencies.
  • Help draft initial outreach emails and presentation slides for partner engagement.
  • Support the scheduling of introductory calls and meetings for the Senior Manager/ Deputy Director with key stakeholders.

Candidate Selection Framework Support:

  • Assist in defining candidate eligibility criteria and ideal profiles.
  • Help draft initial application forms and interview questionnaires.
  • Support in setting up preliminary systems for tracking candidate applications.

Operational & Governance Setup Support:

  • Assist in setting up initial programme management tools (e.g., shared drives, communication platforms).
  • Help develop basic templates for programme documentation (e.g., participant agreements, progress reports).
  • Contribute to researching relevant KPIs and impact metrics for the programme.

Ecosystem Engagement Planning Support:

  • Research potential topics, speakers, and logistical needs for initial bespoke masterclasses and networking sessions.

 

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Programme Management, STEM or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong passion and interest in startups and Deep Tech (e.g. Biomedtech, Artificial Intelligence, MedTech, etc.), venture capital and leadership development.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with using various digital platforms and tools for research and organization.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support team goals.
  • Enjoy meeting new people and forming partnerships with others
  • Ability to communicate, write, and present with professionalism
  • Proven experience in data analytics and data visualisation (essential)
  • Prior experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards and analytics (preferred)
