Job Description
• Mine, model and analyze datasets to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies
• Support to develop custom data models and algorithms
• Prepare reports and utilize PowerBI for data visualization
• Work on B2B and B2C digital projects such as eCommerce, loyalty program in aspects such as strategy, project management & value proposition development
• Support the country marketing portfolio of the department
• Participate in sprints & agile scrum working methodologies
• Assist in other ad-hoc analytics projects
Qualifications
• Student of Business, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields
• Strong interest in analytics, motivated and willing to learn
• Structured and analytical thinking, able to deep-dive into problems & present possible solutions
• Basic knowledge of data analytics processes – data engineering, modelling or visualization
• Basic experience in analytics tech stacks – statistical programming languages like R or Python; visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or Qlik; basic knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Basic knowledge and experience in project management for digital projects (such as apps and websites) is a plus
• Good communications skills to explain technical concepts in layman terms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work in a multinational environment
• Fluent in spoken & written English
• Preferably able to commit fully for 6 months or on a working-student basis
Additional Information
• Candidate should fulfil the visa requirements for employment in Singapore (as stated in www.mom.gov.sg)
• Applicant must be enrolled throughout internship period, or plan to pursue further studies
• For foreign students studying in Singapore on Student's Pass, you must fulfill the following requirements to be able to do full-time internship during the school term: You are a full-time matriculated or registered student in one of the approved institutions.
o You hold a Student Pass issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
o The internship is under an industrial attachment programme conducted by your university or educational institution. The industrial attachment can be either compulsory or elective but it must contribute towards your graduation requirements.
