The key role of the Associate Data Engineer is to design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based financial data and analytics engine.
- Be part of an agile team using agile development methods including: core values, guiding principles and key agile practices, application of CI/CD and quality coding practices
- Collaborate with the team in designing and implementing big data ETL systems
- Document and implement testable and deployable solutions
- Implement monitoring and alert systems
- Fulfill financial systems compliance requirements
- Provide support for system-related issues
- Join meetups and conferences
- Strong focus on writing clean, reliable and maintainable code
- Strong focus on test coverage and documentation
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have -
- Knowledge of data modelling/architecture and SQL
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Understand Cloud technologies such as AWS, etc.
Ideally, the candidate should also have -
- At least 1 year of experience working in data related roles; candidates with more experience will be considered as Data Engineer
- Knowledge of Big Data and stream processing technologies
- Domain experience in digital payment and credit card
