About Us

Who says that you need to travel to the city for top-notch, drool-worthy Italian cuisine? Not us, that’s for sure, when we know there are culinary neighborhood gems such as the one tucked away in Serangoon – Pietro Ristorante Italiano. This comfy eating spot has always astounded us with its solidly creative and delicious Italian fare, conjuring up hearty portions meant to be shared among friends.

At this mid-sized restaurant, which seats 56 people inside and 32 at its al fresco area, the crowd is raucous but never rowdy. Here, all your favourite classics are on the menu, from pizzas that are fired in a wood-burning oven, to creamy risotto and plates of pasta made with fresh pasta.

Carb-eaters would undoubtedly appreciate the fragrant Risotto di Mare e Zafferano, where risotto is cooked with a blend of prawns, clams, squid, and scallops in a saffron-based sauce. Meanwhile, Pietro kicks it old-school with tried-and-true recipes such as the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, so good it’ll even put a smile on the face of an Italian grandmother. And you can’t go wrong with the kid-friendly Cheese Pizza, served on a crispy thin crust.

Job Description

Service Crew (FT, PPT or Intern)


Job types available: Full-time, Permanent Part-Time/Intern (Minimum commitment of 6 months)

 

Service Crew will be managing, control and ensure the smooth running of daily operations in line with the Company's business objectives. She /He has to ensure customers' satisfaction at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high standards of service and create amazing dining experiences for our dining guests
- Prepare the restaurant for service - table settings, top-up of condiments and other preparatory tasks
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly manner
- Be well-versed in the restaurant’s menu
- Assist guests with the menu and provide recommendations
- Handle food and beverage orders and serve guests
- Be able to anticipate guest’s needs and preferences and render timely service
- Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take appropriate action to correct any issues
- Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining
- Carry out daily general cleaning duties.
- Organize and ensure dining space is clean and tidy in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Handle all restaurant telephone enquiries
- Any other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

- Basic F&B service experience preferred

- Training will be provided

- Able to converse in English (oral & written)

- Can-do attitude

- Ability to work independently and in a team

- Friendly and courteous

- Committed & Willingness to learn
