Job Description

Intern/ Junior Strategic Planner, JWT

International advertising agency JWT Singapore is looking for strategic firepower to spark fresh insights, thinking and creative work for global and local brands. You should have an incisive mind -  able to join up and distil different pieces of information into pointed discoveries. You are curious about people, culture and trends. You are passionate and imaginative, and enjoying thinking laterally and creatively.

The strategic planning intern/ junior planner is responsible for:

  • Probing brands’ and clients’ business needs and challenges
  • Researching and understanding different consumer/ audience segments – why people think, feel and behave the way they do
  • Category and competitive analysis
  • Understanding social and cultural shifts and trends
  • Crafting strategic presentations
  • Assembling creative stimulus to help inspire better work

Interns will be mentored closely by senior planners and work with the creative teams to develop campaigns and communications.

You should have:

  • An analytical mind that enjoys getting deep in to a subject (reading reports, articles, case studies)
  • Curiousity about people from all walks of life
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with data
  • Powerpoint or keynotes skills are a plus
  • Prior work experience in advertising/ research/ marketing is preferable but not mandatory
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, creative environment
