Job Description

The Role

We are looking for an enterprising individual who is confident and self-motivated with a can-do attitude to support and facilitate the development of our global partnerships. You should be adaptable and resourceful, and able to hit the ground running quickly with the support of your teammates.

As the Partnerships Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our London Tech Calling programme, which accelerates the expansion of Singapore-based startups, scaleups and SMEs into the UK. You will work closely with the Head of Programmes in Singapore as well as the Head of Partnerships in the UK to identify, interface with and onboard high-quality applicants for the programme, as well as identify potential business opportunities and leads in the UK that the participants can engage with, and facilitate the overall execution of the programme across both the Singapore and the UK offices.

This is a 6-month internship role with an option for conversion to an eventual full-time opportunity, subject to review of performance.

Responsibilities

  • To generate quality leads in the form of eligible Singapore-based companies to join the programme
  • To engage with prospects and share how the programme can fast-track their market expansion plans
  • To facilitate all programme activities and liaise effectively with companies on the programme
  • To support the Head of Partnerships in the UK and identify potential stakeholders to connect programme participants with
  • To track the progress of programme participants on a regular basis

What You Can Achieve

  • You will actively participate in the end-to-end planning and execution process of the London Tech Calling accelerator programme and familiarise yourself with the communication dynamics at play when managing and interacting with programme participants
  • You will learn to generate leads and support business development efforts through the lens of a leading tech accelerator
  • You will have opportunities to work closely and network with representatives of Singapore startups, scaleups and SMEs which possess ambition to expand to the UK
  • You will gain exposure to the technology space and startup ecosystem in both Singapore and the UK by working closely with the Singapore and UK team to deliver the programme specifics

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior work experience is not required, but interest or prior internship experience in business development, marketing or partnerships would be ideal
  • The ideal candidate should be undertaking or have attained a Bachelor's Degree, or an educational qualification at an equal or higher level
  • Minimally, applicants should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, and be able to multi-task while demonstrating attention to detail
  • Applicants should optimally possess great research skills and showcase ability to distill market trends into event topics
  • Applicants with familiarity in the technology space and startup ecosystem in Asia and Europe will be preferred
  • Applicants who are tech savvy and have a good grasp of best-in-class communication and collaboration tools will also ave an advantage during the shortlisting process
  • Applicants should be a firm believer that women can play valuable roles in technology and – regardless of your gender – strive to ensure fair participation of women in IoT Tribe's activities as founders, mentors, investors, among others
  • Applicants must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident
