Business Analytics Analyst Intern supports the IT group, in creating, enhancing and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into insight for corporate and field customers
In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. It requires the Business Intelligence Analyst Intern to gain knowledge of the multitude of data sources utilized by the organization, from both a business and technical perspective. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Support key projects in the Business Analytics space
- Work cross-functionally with commercial, order management, supply chain and finance to identify opportunities and implement successful proof of value initiatives
- Translate business needs into easily understood reporting / analytical requirements
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing BI reports
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
- Display strong customer service orientation, commitment to professionalism, and excellent work ethic
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with business users to analyse information needs and develop functional requirements
- Work with Analytics Team members to improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, usability and value
Qualifications/Requirements
- Currently undergoing/ Already attain a Bachelors degree or Diploma, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
- Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork
- Proficient in data visualization tools
- Analytical mind with attention to detail
- Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Familiarity with BI visualization tools
- Knowledge of SQL queries
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Commitment
- We are looking for an individual that is able to commit atleast 3 days a week for this role
