About the Team & Role

The Marketing & Communications team is seeking a Marketing & Content Intern to support the creation and rollout of social-first and digital content across the Group. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to develop critical skills in content strategy, storytelling, and healthcare marketing, while working closely with marketers, doctors, and subject matter experts on content that shapes how the community engages with HMI.

Job Description

As a Marketing & Content Intern, you will play a hands-on role across the content lifecycle — from filming and pre-production support through to editing, adaptation, and distribution. You will help translate health topics into engaging, platform-ready content, monitor media and social trends, and ensure all outgoing assets meet brand and technical standards.

This role is ideal for a creative, resourceful, and detail-oriented student eager to gain real-world experience in a cohesive and nurturing environment, where healthcare, storytelling and digital marketing intersect.

Core Responsibilities

  • Filming & Pre-Production: Assist with film scheduling, on-site filming coordination, and provide basic shooting support for social-first content.
  • Video Editing: Execute simple video edits and create cut-downs from master footage to suit different platform needs.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on traditional and social media trends to help adapt brand content for maximum engagement.
  • Content Ideation: Assist in daily media monitoring and research, propose content ideas for social media and website articles, and support brainstorming of content themes for monthly content calendars around health awareness months, marketing campaigns, and events.
  • Content Creation: Draft social media captions, short articles, and interview write-ups, and assist in scripting for short-form videos.
  • Content Adaptation: Manage versioning for various social and web channels, including resizing assets and adding accurate subtitles.
  • Brand Coordination: Support the rollout of brand initiatives by organising and distributing brand creative assets.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all outgoing assets align with brand guidelines and technical specifications.
