Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Participate in end-to-end dealflow process - sourcing, due diligence, investment analysis, preparing investment memos, presenting to investment committee and portfolio management. Provide analytical support as part of the investment team, which includes: assimilating diligence items, ensuring accuracy and validity of data, evaluating financial performance and running financial models. The job scope would also include reviewing investment pitches, analyzing company's positioning and developing a qualitative understanding of critical success factors for the business. The intern will also assist the investment team in preparing investment memos, financial modelling and in portfolio management. He/she will help to maintain the internal deal databases to ensure accurate and timely company information. The intern may be asked to assist in other adhoc requests across various aspects of VC investing.

Learning Outcomes & Objectives

Understand the workings of the VC investment process - sourcing, evaluation and portfolio management. Learn how to prepare investment memos and financial models. Exposure to companies globally and the chance to sit in on calls with potential investee companies. Close mentorship and direct working relationship with senior members of the firm.

Requirements 

Willing to learn, enjoys start-up culture and wants to be part of a fun, ambitious team that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and communication skills in English. Well organized and strong attention to detail. Willing to invest time to turn around an urgent piece of work in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (fluency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a required skillset). Current Undergraduate with some prior investment banking, private equity or venture capital intern experience would be a bonus.
