Job Description

POSITION TITLE: SANDWICH ARTIST®

REPORTS TO: SHIFT MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER/MANAGER/

MULTI UNIT MANAGER


POSITION SUMMARY:

A Sandwich Artist® greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares food neatly, accurately, and in a timely manners based on proper food safety handling  

    and storage procedures

2. Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains it to customers accurately  

    and do suggestive selling. 

3. Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with customer and provide an excellent 

    customer service at all times.

4. Checks products in sandwich unit/beverages/front counter area and restocks items to ensure a

    sufficient supply throughout the shift.

5. Clean as directed and help in general house-keeping of items e.g top-up of straws, sauces etc.

6. Greet customer and prepares their orders, uses of Point of Sale system (POS)/cash register to

    record the order and computes the amount of the bill, collects payment from guests and makes   

    change.

7. Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the

    SUBWAY® Operations Manual.

8. Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitization standards while

    preparing food, serving food, and clean up.

9. Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the SUBWAY®          

    Operations Manual.

10. Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.

11. Accounts for all forms of money, bread, etc. during the shift.

12. Assist on receiving delivery, arrange delivery in order and enter delivery into the system

     Including send/call product feedback to HAVI

13. Completes online coursework on the University of SUBWAY® as directed.


PREREQUISITES

Education: Some high school or equivalent


Experience: Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical: Must be able to work at any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
