Job Description

Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Singapore is looking for a motivated and dedicated Financial Analyst to provide support for the Singapore Purchase Orders (PO) management & supporting spend analysis.

The successful candidate will report directly to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Manager handling AMERA (Asia, Middle East, Africa & Russia) HQ.

The successful candidate is expected to be able to promote improvement of PO process and ensure accurate, correct recording & handling of invoices in the financial systems. He or she is expected to partner with FP&A to identify cost that needs to be billed out to other entities and co-ordinate with SSC team to ensure timely payments & billings.

In addition, he or she is also expected to be able to generate & provide analysis of spend, prepare charts and to support FP&A AMERA HQ & Sourcing for reporting and analysis. The person is expected to be able to undertake data mining and strong excel skills is necessary.

This is a 6-months contract with a possibility of extension or full-time conversion thereafter.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Co-ordinate and validate PO Process within AMERA HQ. Final check on accurate cost allocation by department/cost center, project, nature of account etc.

2. Resolve any issues that may result in delays in Invoice payments, including ensuring there is proper approval.

3. Work with SSC to enable on-time payments.

4. Review invoices / costs and propose what needs to be billed out. Obtain approval and co-ordinate with SSC for timely billing out.

5. Review open POs, co-ordinate resolutions for aged POs and propose monthly accruals of cost based on Open POs.

6. Support FP&A & Sourcing on spend analysis and reporting including analysis of cost each month.

7. Support FP&A in preparation of IT spend reports and presentations to Management.

8. Track fixed assets, capitalization and depreciation.

9. Support SSC for process automation to improve data entry.

10. Any additional ad-hoc requests and projects as required from time to time.


Profile Required:

Technical Skills:

1. Tertiary education in Accounting and Finance or Business Admin or Management or Economics.

2. Strong Microsoft Excel & Power Point skills.

3. MS AX knowledge is an advantage but not mandatory.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to adapt under different situations. Meticulous and organized.

2. Good communication skills.
