Foster Care

Our Fostering Agency provides quality care and support to foster parents; and connects them to a wider network of resources. While the reintegration of foster children with their natural families are being worked at, foster families will be equipped to ensure the well-being and holistic development of foster children in a safe, nurturing and caring family environment.

Job Description

Job Scope

  • Plan, coordinate and execute outreach events & roadshows to recruit new foster parents
  • Manage and conduct assessment of foster parent candidates
  • Identify appropriate outreach channels and opportunities for collaboration with partners who can aid the Fostering Agency in its outreach efforts
  • Create content and update internal social media platforms
  • Engage in recruitment and outreach events for both foster parents and volunteers
  • Work collaboratively with the volunteer co-ordinator and other staff in the fostering agency team

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma, with preferably a minimum 2 years of experience in the social service sector
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Some experience in project and event management
  • Good in administrative skills
  • Able to use Adobe Photoshop or other software to design brochures, electronic direct mail etc. will be an advantage
  • Should have appropriate attributes, values and aptitude to manage assessment of foster parent candidates
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sense of urgency in completing scheduled tasks and meeting project deadlines
  • Ability to work on weekends and evenings when required.
