Job Description

As a Community Care Associate, you’ll be part of a committed and caring team dedicated to creating an active, warm, and inclusive environment for seniors. You’ll bring energy to daily activities, build genuine connections, and ensure the centre runs smoothly and safely through strong coordination and administrative support.

This is a role filled with heart, teamwork, and purpose — perfect for someone who thrives in a community setting and enjoys both people engagement and behind-the-scenes organisation.

Your daily work will revolve around people, purpose, and community – including:

Creating Enjoyable Experiences
· Supporting group activities that help seniors stay active mentally, socially, and physically
· Encouraging participation and making every senior feel included and valued
· Assisting with simple health checks under supervision

Building Relationships
· Engage seniors with warmth and patience
· Offer friendly support to those with mild mobility or cognitive needs
· Be a familiar, trusted presence in the centre

Ensuring Smooth Centre Operations
· Maintain an organised, safe, and welcoming environment
· Support daily operational routines and emergency preparedness
· Work closely with volunteers and staff to ensure programmes run efficiently

Providing Strong Administrative Support

· Handle programme documentation, attendance tracking, and basic reporting
· Manage inventory, materials, and simple logistics
· Support volunteer coordination and administrative tasks
· Use digital tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Canva to support centre operations

Qualifications
· NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Social Service or related discipline, or relevant experience
· Experience in community care or programme support preferred but not necessary.
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 360 Suite, SharePoint, Canva and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Passion for working with seniors and diverse communities.
