Job Description
- Discussing the methodology of the possible forecasting and trading models with the dry bulk team
- Programming trading models
- Data updating, auto-updating, cleaning and processing
- Database set up and maintaining
The models would involve
- Freight price forecasting from historical prices using technical analysis
- Freight price forecasting from different indicators using regressions or other econometrics or machine learning methods
- Option Pricing and Trading Strategies
Requirements
- Advanced skills with Excel and database.
- Experience with at least one of the programming languages such as VBA, Python, R, Matlab, etc
- Fluency (spoken and written) in English or Mandarin
- Knowledge in econometrics and machine learning will be strongly preferred.
- Knowledge in commodity and derivative trading/analysis or dry bulk freight trading/analysis is a plus
