Pros: I have been with the company for more than 2 years and this is my first full time job post graduation. It has been nothing short of an amazing journey. 1) Culture and people Culture is felt, not said. I am happy to have given myself an opportunity to explore the industry and the company 2 years ago. Prior to me joining, I was exposed to their activities, meetings and trainings. I went through a series of assessment as well. This allowed me to learn more about the team before deciding whether this is the place for me. The culture of abundance is no other - people here are very willing to share their knowledge and resources. We have a FB group whereby everyone will post summaries and distribute their notes for the whole agency to use. As I've said, all these culture is not said, it has to be felt. Many may feel that it's like a cult but to me, it's just a very strong family bond 🙂 I'm very proud to be here because it made me a better person. 2) Platform AAG has many platforms to help you succeed. They have different departments (ranging from advisory, training, selection, marketing/branding, volunteering etc.), all ran pro-bono by the financial consultants. Love the systems here - as long as you have the desire to succeed, the platform will be able to help you.
Cons: 1) Must have the mental resilience and perseverance -This is a sales job fundamentally hence there's bound to have rejections. If you're unable to get over the rejection from friends, it might be hard to sustain long. 2) May be too competitive for some 3) Must be hardworking and put in the time -I started out by working 7 days a week and grind through it all (though it was a conscious choice). Need to learn how to better manage time to juggle between work and relationship/friendship outside of work.
