Job Description

A Services Technician is responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing works for equipment, systems, or facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations. The technician supports operational efficiency by responding to service requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

A. -

i. Installation & Setup

· Assist in the installation of hardware, systems, equipment, or devices at customer sites or company premises.

· Set up and configure systems according to technical specifications and safety standards.

· Conduct basic testing and commissioning after installation to ensure proper functionality.

ii. Maintenance & Servicing

· Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing activities.

· Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or equipment when necessary.

· Ensure all equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely.

iii. Troubleshooting

· Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, or system-related issues.

· Identify root causes of technical problems and implement corrective actions.

· Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior technicians, engineers, or supervisors.

iv. Technical Support

· Provide on-site or remote technical support to customers, clients, or internal departments.

· Respond promptly to service requests and technical complaints.

· Guide users on the proper operation and basic maintenance of systems or equipment.

· Resolve basic technical issues within the assigned scope of work.

v. Documentation & Reporting

· Record all service activities, maintenance work, repairs, and inspections accurately.

· Prepare service reports, maintenance logs, and issue resolution records.

· Update system records, checklists, and service tickets in a timely manner.

· Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and operational purposes.

vi. Customer & Team Support

· Communicate professionally with customers or users to understand and resolve issues.

· Provide basic operational guidance or user training when required.

· Work closely with senior technicians, engineers, and other departments to complete assigned tasks.

· Assist in project implementation, system upgrades, and improvement works.

· Follow company procedures, operational guidelines, and instructions from supervisors.

vii. Tools & Equipment Handling

· Properly use diagnostic tools, testing instruments, software, and technical equipment.

· Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.

· Comply with all safety requirements when handling tools and equipment.

viii. Quality & Safety Compliance

· Adhere to workplace safety rules, technical standards, and company policies during all installation and maintenance activities.

· Ensure all work performed complies with company requirements and applicable regulations.

· Report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or non-conformance promptly.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

ix. Continuous Learning & Improvement

· Keep updated with new technologies, products, and industry best practices through training and self-learning.

· Participate in internal or external training programs as required.

· Recommend process improvements, upgrades, or preventive measures based on field experience and observations.

x. Others

· Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company, Director, Head of Department (HOD), or Management from time to time.

· Perform additional tasks related to the job scope as may be required by the Company.

· Report directly to the Department HOD or Managing Director and carry out all assigned duties and responsibilities accordingly.

A. SKILL/COMPETENCY REQUIRED: -

i. Technical Skills

· Basic understanding of equipment or systems used in the field (ELV System, IT, or electronics)

· Ability to use basic diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.

· Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Familiarity with technical documentation and reporting.

ii. Soft Skills

· Teamwork and willingness to learn from senior technicians

· Time management and organizational skills

B. EXPERINCED REQUIRED: -

· Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in technical support, maintenance, servicing, or related field is an added advantage.

· Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance work will be preferred. Internship or hands-on training is a big advantage

· Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

C. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: -

· Valid driving license

· Willingness to travel or work on-site

· Physically fit (for handling tools/equipment)
