Founded in 1952, PPIS is a non-profit organisation focused on community services. PPIS is dedicated to working with women of all ages in carrying out their multiple roles in society. We run three core community services, namely Family Services, Student Care, and a Residential Facility, serving as a secular halfway house for women engaged in community rehabilitation programmes. With 10 centres island-wide, the services work together to provide quality and holistic support and developmental programmes for women and their families across the different phases of their lives.
Job Responsibilities
1. Operations & Residents Management
- Ensure overall security and safety of the Centre by adhering to SOPs and monitoring access points.
- Coordinate security, logistics, programme, and rehabilitation functions to support high performance and professional standards.
- Conduct regular patrols, bag checks, and security screenings (e.g. metal detectors).
- Maintain order and discipline among residents, and monitor their movements.
- ****** residents when required and supervise urine/breathalyser tests.
- Report incidents and abnormal resident behaviour promptly and accurately to management.
- Prepare and submit daily logs, incident reports, and documentation related to security and operations.
- Oversee workplace safety and ensure health protocols are observed.
- Manage logistical needs, including accommodation, food, and maintenance.
2. Programme Support
- Identify and channel residents’ requests or issues to assigned social workers.
- Assist in the facilitation of programmes and events (e.g. emplacements, inspections, learning journeys).
- Manage scheduling and compilation of family visit bookings.
- Coordinate festive décor and plan resident engagement activities during festive seasons.
- Supervise residents’ screentime options to ensure appropriateness and trauma-informed content.
- Support case management needs, including worksite and home visit escorts, and compiling situation reports (sitreps).
Job Requirements
1. Diploma in a relevant field such as Security Management, or a related discipline
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in security operations in residential setting, correctional facility or a related environment. Experience in working night shifts is preferred
3. Able to work 3 rotating shifts i.e. AM, PM & Night, including weekends, PH and irregular hours, at time, when required
4. Strong interpersonal skills and able to be assertive to maintain professional boundaries with clients
5. Team player with good knowledge and skills in ensuring safety of people and premises
6. Keen observer of discrepancies and surroundings; ability to discern inconsistencies
7. Possess good level of situational awareness
