Established in 1993, Yhingthai Palace Restaurant has been serving authentic Thai and Thai Chinese cuisine for more than 30 years. We place great emphasis on freshness and quality of the ingredients used in our dishes.

Yhingthai Palace Restaurant first opened at 13 Purvis Street off Beach Road, with a seating capacity of about 60 guests. In January 1998, the restaurant moved across to a larger premise at 36 Purvis Street and expanded the seating capacity to accommodate up to 120 guests.

Over the years, our team has strived to provide all guests with a comfortable dining experience paired with quality food.

Job Description

This role focuses on internal efficiency, branding, and back-end operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and Printing Collaterals: Design and update menus, flyers, table tents, and other print materials using design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign). Manage relationships with printers and ensure brand consistency.
  • Designing SOPs for Existing Restaurant Operations: Work with you and staff to document current processes, draft clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (e.g., opening/closing checklists, server steps of service, cleaning schedules), and organize them into an accessible manual.
  • Plan, create, and schedule social media content (photos, videos, posts), monitor comments, and respond to followers.

Educational Value: The intern will learn about graphic design principles for branding, operational efficiency in a restaurant, and the specifics of beverage program management.

Mentorship/Supervision: Regular reviews of design work, process documentation drafts, and wine list research to ensure accuracy and alignment with business standards.
