The English enrichment centre was founded in 2014 with a vision to deliver exceptionally effective lessons that help to build a strong foundation in the English language and nurture writing skills in young students.

Job Description

We are looking for like-minded individuals - people who are passionate, disciplined and focused - to join our mission to become Singapore's leading English and Writing Specialist.

From talent acquisition and development to employee engagement and performance management, our team works closely with the different teams in Write Edge to reach its goals in the Singapore market.

Main Role

Forecast and Tracking

  • Work closely with director, finance and head of departments to forecast and plan hiring needs of the company
  • Build a pipeline of supply of talent and succession planning for each role
  • Develop a recruitment dashboard and track metrics (i.e. time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, no. of quality hires determined by passing of probation and promotions)
  • Implement new sourcing methods (i.e. social recruiting)

Recruitment Strategy 

  • Research and implement strategic and innovative recruitment methods to attract top talent.
  • Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates through various channels, such as social media, job boards, and professional networks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and industry organisations.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Supervision of the Interview process by the hiring managers

  • Supervise the interview process 
  • Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conduct trainings on best interviewing and recruitment techniques

Candidate Sourcing and Selection

  • Proactively source, screen, and identify qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Provide constructive feedback to candidates and maintain regular communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings as necessary.

Hiring Process Management

  • Create job descriptions and specifications based on the requirements of various roles.
  • Update current and design new recruitment and interview procedures (i.e. job application and onboarding processes)
  • Coordinate the preparation of offer letters and employment contracts for successful candidates.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and reports.

Employee Performance and Development

  • Collaborate with head of departments to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with organisational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics regularly to ensure progress and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and implement comprehensive employee development programs that foster continuous learning and career growth.
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to deliver relevant training sessions.

Talent and Succession Planning

  • Identify high-potential employees and create talent development plans to groom them for future leadership roles.
  • Facilitate succession planning discussions to ensure a smooth transition of key positions within the organisation.

Staff Retention and Culture

  • Develop and implement effective employment branding strategies to attract top talent and enhance the organisation's reputation in the job market.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work culture by organising staff engagement activities and initiatives that promote teamwork and employee well-being.

Secondary / Overseeing:

HR Administration

  • Maintaining and updating master database (personal file, personal database, etc.) of each employee
  • Communicating and explaining the organization's HR policies to the employees
  • Preparing and processing timely distribution of salary, bonus, increment salary slip and any official letters
  • Carry out the onboarding and offboarding process

Staff Engagement

  • Updating of communication channels
  • Engaging with employees on a regular basis to understand the motivation levels of people in the organisation
  • Resolving grievances or queries that any of the employees have and escalating to the right level depending on the nature of the grievance or issue

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an internal recruiter or in a similar talent acquisition role.
  • In-depth knowledge of various recruitment methods and techniques.
  • Strong sourcing and networking abilities, with the ability to identify and engage with potential candidates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and team members.
  • Adept at multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.

Location: Tampines Plaza
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm
