Job Description

Business Analyst (6 Months Contract)


Key Responsibilities

  • Eliciting, reviewing, defining, and documenting business requirements
  • Facilitate process mapping workshops with Business and Operations to assess gaps between As-Is and To-Be workflow and documentation to current market processes (fit-gap) – identify gaps, change impacts on data and processes, customization or process change required and coordinate with VPoint & VEnterprise Project teams
  • Assist business in documenting their detailed process steps in a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Partners closely with business owners and key functional stakeholders to implement approved standardized processes and maximizing efficiencies
  • Analyse business data for cleansing and validation rules, assist with the writing of rules with central ops and tech teams and assist with migration activities
  • Understanding of the tables in Legacy systems to ensure business rules are properly set up
  • Mapping of data fields from existing to the new system
  • Assisting with User Acceptance Testing – i.e.: design test scenarios, work with business stakeholders and assist with test script execution, coordinate with central ops and technology teams for defects and issue resolution
  • Go Live support
  • Actively participate in Project management type activities and post project reviews 

Relevant Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Viewpoint or ERP is highly desirable
  • Able to facilitate mapping of data fields from existing to the new system
  • Able to check data migration via report checking using vlookup
  • Experience in a Business Analysis role and in business analysis methods/techniques
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in running successful workshops
  • High level awareness of a variety of IT software development/deployment methodologies (i.e. Waterfall and Agile)
  • Experience of the Business Analyst role across all stages of the project lifecycle'
  • Experience in system migration

Professional Qualifications

  • Essential: University degree, preferably in a business, finance or computer science discipline BCS/IIBA BA qualification desirable
  • Desirable: Qualifications relating specifically to Viewpoint, Project/change management qualifications (e.g. Agile, Prince2)
