Company Profile

Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA) is a charity launched in 1993 by Singapore’s Ambassador-at-Large and VSA Patron, Professor Tommy Koh. VSA’s core mission is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to be involved in the arts and to empower them through the arts. VSA programmes are open to children, youths and adults with sensory, physical, intellectual and learning disabilities. The following core programmes in the visual, literary and performing arts are offered by VSA:
1. Arts-based enrichment classes: These integrate the arts in the education, training and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, as well as being a bridge for their social interaction, self-development and expression.
2. VOICES (Voice of Individual’s Creative Expressions) Programme: Nurtures the artistic ability of talented people with disabilities, as well as spurs their development as visual artists, craftsmen or performing artistes.
3. ALIVE (Arts for Livelihood and Employment) Programme: Offers lifelong learning, career and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Job Description

Planning and execution of 2 art exhibitions from February to June:

- Collection of artworks

- Labelling and cataloging all artworks

- Artwork and Profile Tags Preparation

- Marketing of the events (online posting and etc)

- Prepare guest lists

- Send Invites and RSVP

- Set up, operation and tear down of Exhibitions

- Artworks/Merchandise/Craft Sales 

- Consolidate sale figure and prepare payment vouchers to artists

- Arrangement for return of artworks 

- Facilitate the collection/delivery of unsold artworks

- Update database for works selected for storage

Management of the Craft Class

- Prepare and send offer letters

- Collect class fee and issue receipts

- Help Facilitator during class

- Craft materials preparation

- Packing and labelling craft works for sales

- Sell craft works at craft fairs (Feb-June)

- Consolidate sale figure and prepare payment vouchers to artists

- Update Inventory list


Management of weekly classes and workshops

- Prepare and send offer letters

- Collect class fee and issue receipts

- Help Facilitator during class
