Your Job Overview
This is Trylah’s product/software development internship track. Trylah’s business model is a multi-merchant e-commerce platform. The platform sells deals/vouchers for Trylah’s partner merchants. Customers make purchases directly from the platform and receives instant rewards in fractional shares (for example, one-tenth of an Apple share). Working in this track, you will need to understand, analyze, hopefully innovate, and finally help build the platform into a production-ready offering. Trylah’s technology is built in-house (as opposed to being outsourced to an external developer). You will be exposed to the entire process of creating a digital e-commerce product product. We understand that not everyone is a software engineer. If you are not into coding, the scope of the job will be focused on product development and management.
Your Internship Goals
a) Understand, analyze, and document the product and associated business processes
b) Become an owner or one or more processes and ensure its delivery
c) Conduct product testing to ensure things run as intended
d) For the software developers, you will get to design UI/UX (frontend development), and/or build APIs (backend development), and/or learn to deploy and maintain software in the cloud (dev ops)
Your Day-to-Day:
Work alongside co-founders, developers, freelances, other interns
Work on your assigned tasks, which may involve doing research, making analysis, reading documentation, ideating, designing, coding, collaborating, scheduling, meeting deadlines
Meetings with external collaborators, such as service providers, vendors
It’s a small firm, so the work environment is dynamic but more casual than in a large corporation
