The company is the organizer of Starlight International Youth Basketball Open (SIYBO), an annual basketball tournament for global youth basketball enthusiasts. The inaugural event, SIYBO 2023, took place from 11 to 13 August 2023, at the ActiveSG Clementi Sport Centre in Singapore. Job Description

The assistant event planner/manager is based in Singapore. The role is responsible for a range of tasks related to the planning, management, delivery and organisation of sport events/student camps.You should be able to be multi-tasked, adaptive, communicative and organized. If you are a sports fun, it is a plus. Your responsibilities cover the following: 

  • planning and designing the event program

  • working with sporting event stakeholders to establish project timelines

  • generating hospitality for the various sponsors and other clients involved in the sporting event

  • communicating with members of the press and broadcasters for the broadcast of the event

  • recruiting and managing volunteers

  • identifying appropriate venues and working with the people in charge of the preparations

  • organising accommodation and transportation of participants to the event

  • implementing the necessary security measures for all athletes and spectators

  • providing parking facilities for the participants of the sports event

  • coordinating with all local community leaders

  • negotiating with suppliers and sponsors

  • managing social media accounts for the events.
