The employer is a purpose-built practice located in central Singapore looking to add to their small, dedicated, and friendly team. Their practice comes with a spacious treatment and hospitalisation room, separate operating theatre, in-house lab, portable ultrasound and is fully digital.  

Their commitment to clients is to provide a high standard of both veterinary care and customer service. They also have a very good working relationship with some Animal Welfare Groups and the vet will be exposed to a varied caseload.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Medical Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to diagnose and develop treatment plans for various health issues. Administer vaccinations, prescribe medications, and perform surgeries when necessary.
  • Client Communication: Build strong relationships with pet owners by explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care measures. Provide guidance on pet nutrition, behaviour, and wellness.
  • Surgical Procedures: Perform surgeries, including spaying/neutering, dental procedures, and soft tissue surgeries, with precision and care. Monitor patients during and after surgery to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Utilise X-rays, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools to assess the health of animals and interpret results accurately.
  • Emergency Care: Be available for on-call duties and handle emergency cases as they arise, ensuring prompt and effective medical attention.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all diagnoses, treatments, and communication with pet owners.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • DVM, BVSc or equivalent Bachelor Degree with AVMA, RCVS or AVBC accreditation
  • 1-2 years of clinical work experience is preferred but fresh grads will be considered.
  • A few days of sole charge is to be expected on weekdays.
