Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Communications Intern to join our team to work on a three-month-long sports project, leading up to a week-long event in October. The intern will work closely with the PR team to develop and execute effective public relations strategies, campaigns, and initiatives. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of public relations campaigns and initiatives.
  • Conduct research on media outlets, influencers, and relevant trends in the industry.
  • Assist with the creation of press releases, media alerts, and other communications materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and report on industry trends and news.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Management of media onsite during event week

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in public relations, communications, or journalism is preferred (but not required).
  • Passionate about sports (but not required)
