Sunkonnect is a young solar energy consultancy based in Singapore. We work with system owners, developers, EPC players and manufacturers in Southeast Asia and India to make significant and long-lasting improvements to their products and processes. In the past year, we have worked with MNC clients from India, Malaysia and Vietnam auditing over 250 MW of solar PV capacity in the region. Our team has over ten years of experience within the renewable energy field, including the areas of solar PV technology production, manufacturing, quality assessment and systems deployment. Our consultants include engineers, research scientists, lead auditors and energy policy analysts who work closely with our clients to achieve their goals.
ROLE/JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Data Analytics Intern to analyse PV plant and manufacturing data. The candidate will develop a platform to collect and analyse big data from PV power plants; and develop a machine-learning algorithm to suggest improvements to enhance plant performance. Our team will support the candidate by providing insight into the type of data collected and the kind of inferences required from the data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide design, development and testing of a database platform.
- Responsible for driving the architecture and design of the platform, including a machine-learning algorithm. Responsible to ensure that the data is collected securely and operates under a stable framework.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Technical/ Professional:
- Engineering / Science / Computer Science students capable of database development.
- SQL / TSQL / R / Python development experience
- Able to provide performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Design of database objects and relational tables and stored procedures
- Experience in relational and multidimensional database schemas
