ST Asset Management Ltd – Performance Analyst

Background

Our department provides performance report for the company, as well as to enable the company to gain insights useful for timely and accurate decisions. We are hiring a Performance Analytics intern for analytics support.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be responsible for:

1) Understanding the return attribution of the securities in order to provide a detailed documentation for all the calculations. You will be able to work with our performance team and thus have a deeper understanding of the breakdown of fixed income returns.

2) Ability to apply the understanding of return attribution calculations to verify on the numbers in the reports. Hence, you will be able to apply the knowledge in documentation into practical uses.

3) Development and enhancement of existing forecasting models, using the application of statistics and machine learning, with the help of languages such as Python and R. You will have the chance to have a hands on exposure to forecasting models, such as Forex, interest rates and stock index forecasting models, build base on machine learning models such as multilayer perceptron (MLP), recurrent neural network (RNN) and convolutional neural network (CNN).

Special Knowledge / Skills Required:

• Must have good writing skills in English (i.e. write in a clear and structured manner)
• Comfortable with mathematical formulas
• Proficiency in at least one data analytics/processing language, such as R/Python.
• Have an interest in finance.

Above all, you should have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning, as well as good

communication skills.
