It has widened its product range from basic soya and oyster sauces to include pre-mixes like Kung Bo sauce, Black Pepper sauce, Laksa paste, Hainanese Chicken Rice Mix, etc.

Job Description

1. To perform new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing especially on sauces.

2. To conduct continual improvement of existing products.

3. To conceptualize new and innovative products.

4. To source for new and alternative suppliers.

5. To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials.

6. To prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs.

7. Collaborate with the Marketing department to understand the customers’ needs and requirements and to also assist in troubleshooting customers’ technical issues (when necessary).

8. Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.

9. To conduct product stability and shelf-life studies of new products.

10. To develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability.

11. To facilitate the handover of new product(s) so as to ensure the smooth transition from test kitchen to Production. This includes liaising with the Technical / Production Manager to ensure that the product development fits the site capabilities.

12. Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.

13. Liaison with China customers and distributors to support China market.

14. Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
