Sea Limited. – Intern, Regional Business Finance

Job Description

As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of impactful tasks, making meaningful contributions to the finance team. You will: 

• Engage actively in the month end closing process, and witness firsthand how financial data is consolidated and reported accurately.
• Collaborate with our local finance teams to review journal postings, and understand how finance professionals ensure precision and compliance.
• Contribute to the preparation of group journals that shape segment adjustments, and gain perspectives into how financial adjustments influence our financials.
• Be exposed to management reporting focusing on Profit and Loss (PnL) reports and working capital analyses, and sharpen your financial analysis skills.
• Prepare for audit activities including audit reconciliation and deliverables, and acquire a deeper understanding of our financial review processes.
• Interact with a wide range of stakeholders across departments, regions and cultures, and hone your communication and collaboration skills.
• Take on ad-hoc projects, and broaden your skill sets and perspectives on our financial operations.

• Currently an undergraduate in the second year of study or beyond, majoring in Accountancy or a related field.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates the ability to work independently while embracing new challenges.
• Brings attention to detail and communication skills to our team, and contributes to our commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role; familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus.
• Available for a 6 months internship from Dec 2023 to June 2024 preferred. Other internship periods will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
