Sarawak Trade & Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) – Trade & Events Intern

Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) is a Sarawak Government-linked agency tasked with strengthening trade, investment, and tourism relationships between Sarawak and Singapore. Operating from the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, STATOS serves as a key promotional and business development hub for Sarawak’s products, services, and tourism offerings. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing trade and investment promotional initiatives and outreach activities.
• Provide operational and liaison support for both B2B and B2C events (setup, registration, guest handling, and coordination).
• Support the development of marketing and promotional collateral (posters, brochures, EDMs, event kits) and ensure accuracy through proofreading.
• Conduct desk research on market trends, trade opportunities, and potential partnerships; compile findings into short summaries or reports.
• Maintain and update stakeholder and industry databases, ensuring information is organised and current.
• Provide general administrative and documentation support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Canva or similar tools.
• Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in coordinating events and handling administrative tasks.
• Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
