Performs indirect purchasing tasks by managing purchase orders, supplier management and performance for both local and overseas vendors.
Collaborates with internal departments and suppliers in analysing pricing, makes recommendations and implements solutions for cost reduction, efficiencies, process improvement and business continuity.
Partners with suppliers and internal customers to evaluate alternative sources by requesting for proposal and quotation.
Reviews and evaluates bids from suppliers by collaborating with the Legal Team or Headquarter to determine acceptable terms for negotiation with suppliers.
Drafts/reviews contracts, NDA and SOW in order to advise stakeholders on the terms and conditions of the contracts.
Performs direct purchasing tasks by embarking on vertical integration for localization and sites capability to meet strategies initiatives.
Works closely with Supplier, Quality, Engineering and Warehousing teams to resolve any material-related issues.
Escalates with suppliers on behalf of manufacturing plants on material shortages and deliveries.
Reviews procurement strategy and sources for comparable quotes in all fields.
Sources for new and alternative suppliers to support direct and indirect materials.
Manages purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation, PO follow-up, supplier billing and purchase forecasting.
Performs ad-hoc duties as requested.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Purchasing Management or Supply Chain Management.
At least 3 years’ relevant working experience in procurement or supply chain.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer negotiating and relationship management skills.
Familiarity with SAP will be advantageous.
Good knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects.
Attention to detail with good analytical skills.
