Job Description

Job Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will support the project team in the planning, coordination and execution of construction works. You will gain practical exposure to site operations and project management in a main contractor environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Project Engineer/Manager in coordinating and monitoring Civil & Structural works on site.
  • Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams on technical and construction matters.
  • Assist in monitoring site progress to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.
  • Participate in site inspections and assist in resolving technical and coordination issues.
  • Assist in preparing method statements, technical submissions, progress reports and other project documentation.
  • Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with project requirements and relevant safety standards.
  • Attend project/site coordination meetings and assist with follow-up actions.
  • Maintain proper records of site activities, drawings, inspections and project documentation.
  • Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Engineer/Manager.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of construction drawings and Civil & Structural works.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office will be an advantage.
  • Willing to learn and gain hands-on experience in a construction site environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to commit to the required internship period.
