Job Description

Job responsibilities

  • Manage and Schedule projects of different nature, ensure smooth logical progression while managing safety, quality, time, and cost limitations
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
  • Manage external consultants with team (e.g. architect, civil, structural, M&E, QS, contractors, etc.)
  • Prepare and negotiate all contracts and amendments with external parties (e.g. architects, consultants, suppliers, contractors, etc.)
  • Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, damage, accidents and emergencies, or delays. Ensure proper contingency procedures are carried out where required.
  • Prepare applications for and obtain necessary permits and licenses
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, budget estimates, and cost tracking reports
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff and management as required
  • Enforces required maintenance processes, ensures reliability, duration of equipment and provides proper environment for modernization plans implementation
  • Identifies, designs and implements quality improvement projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of Project Management/Engineering experience or relevant experience
  • Analytical and strong logical thinker, results orientated
  • Eager to make a difference and achieve an excellent outcome
  • Enjoy challenging tasks
  • Self-driven team player, strong interpersonal skills, analytical
  • Able to work within strict time line and autonomously to meet deadlines without compromising on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure
  • Good proven track record of managing projects of high quality, within schedule and budget
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts
