OliveAnkara is a slow-fashion brand that blends African fabrics and modern designs, putting quality and sustainability as main pillars of our vision.
We are looking for an intern that is passionate about fashion, sustainability and social media, and is eager to learn the business of fashion with a very hands-on approach, from inventory management to digital and social content production. We offer a fun environment and open-minded approach, where the candidate will be given the opportunity to express his/her ideas and gain a comprehensive experience.
YOUR ROLE
We're looking for a content creator who is passionate about sustainability, fashion and skilled with social media to help support the growth of OLIVEANKARA’s local and international presence. If you live and breathe social media + IG reels, TikTok or making videos are your thing, you have a creative eye and are keen to make your mark on a growing startup, this could be the role for you.
YOU WILL BE:
CONTENT PLANNING
- Creating and scheduling posts and stories for our instagram (core platform)
- Weekly scheduling of posts for other priority platforms (Linkedin, Facebook)
SOCIAL CONTENT CREATION
- Helping to create videos for Tiktok + Reels
- Creating IG graphic guides/explainers
- SOCIAL CONTENT CREATION
- Helping to create videos for Tiktok + Reels
- Creating IG graphic guides/explainers
- Photo & Video editing savvy
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
- Helping to answer DM's inquiries in a timely manner
- Engage with our community (responding to comments/questions)
- Monitor/keep an eye out for potential partnerships with like-minded individuals or organisations
- REPORTING
- Compiling data on monthly performance (posts with the most engagement) to inform ongoing social strategy
- AD HOC
- Assisting on OA’s shoots
RETAIL ASSISTANT
- Stock management online and in-store
- Ensure goods are correctly labeled and tagged
- Process sales and fulfillment
- Provide online customer service and sales support.
YOU SHOULD:
* Live & breathe social media!
* Have a passion and curiosity for sustainability
* Be a keen content creator with design flair
* Have a creative streak and a way with words
* Be driven, detail-orientated and able to work independently
* Prior videography, photoshop or social media experience is a bonus
* Able to commit for 4-6 months
YOU WILL:
* As you will be working very closely with the founder, we are happy to expose you to other aspects of entrepreneurship and fashion business if it interests you. This includes, but is not limited to, the design process, production merchandising, photoshoots, retail planning, pop-ups and other marketing channels so that you can make the most out of this internship experience.
* Develop your social media marketing skills
* Gain an understanding of what it takes to run a media/e-commerce business
* Be working with a small, passionate and hardworking team
* Supported in your growth, development and training
* Please note: this is an internship position, but can lead to a full-time role for the right candidate.
